Painting on the walls of the Counterscarp Galleries deep below the fort, painted during the second world war and considering their age, in remarkable condition. They show MTB's ( Motor Torpedo Boats), beach scenes, underwater scenes and buildings with a likeness to the Royal Pavilion in Brighton.
